Is the weekend really over already? It always feels like the summer weekends fly by.
There are no fun summer snaps from this weekend or inspiring trips to dsicuss. Instead the weekend was about being productive, rejuvination and sharing stories.
We did however see Birds of Tokyo last week, for those who follow me on instagram (monika_berry) would have seen some snaps. It was over 2 nights, the first was a VIP night with about 40 others to hear some brand new music and meet the band over drinks and nibbles. The second was their show at Ormond Hall. What I love about these guys is their deep connection and obvious satisfaction with what they produce. Throughout the show you would see the guys catching each others attention followed by a massive grin, they would get lost in their own music and NONE of it was orchestrated or fake.
The next 3 weeks of my life will be turning plans in action. The annual leave is booked in and the homework is done. On the list is a lounge room revamp, as we move sofas into new spaces, complete kitchen overhaul, new looks in all the bedrooms (goodbye carpet and hello bright summer colours).
Most seasons I will update the decor, even if only slightly. With the obvious of rich warm colours in winter and white and bright in summer. Do you do this in your home? I think it creates a 'new' and inviting space for us to enjoy all over again.
The hardest part now is replacing the frames, as the old ones have now dated and I would prefer to use some of my own work on the walls.

Making me smile this week: feeling first movement of our baby / TV series: Walking Dead / lazy Sunday mornings with the husband / cold water / early morning walks / watching my husbands eyes light up as he met Ian Kenny (Birds of Tokyo) / Ikea / seeing a change in my husband as he 'nests' for the baby - too cute.
